Videos, CDs And Software
Videos, software, song tapes they are all ways to enhance your skills or amuse yourself when it is too dark to see the birds themselves. I think that CD ROMS, DVD's and Videos will not replace books but I am beginning to build a collection and find that they are terrific ways to help plan overseas trips and brush up on your ID skills. I doubt this will reduce my obsession with books but it may well broaden it... I have been very impressed with various DVDs of birds from around the world and with a number of excellent CD ROMs of North America, Europe, Austrlia and Asia. I have also enjoyed a number of video introductions to birding in various parts of the world and several species studies on film and recommend thethat you look at this expansion of identification and study through new media and their entertainment value. Let the Fat Birder know if you have personal favourites. I am happy to review such products (see front page). However, sending me a freebie does not guarantee a good review - I will always express my honest opinion. The products appearing below are those I know about through their websites - I do am not endorsing them or making recomendations - you must see for yourselves but hope my brief reviews elsewhere are of help. |
